weekly round-up…day 149-156

I’ve decided to go for a weekly post of my 365 Project for the time being. All images processed through UFraw and GIMP.

Day 149
Spent time with my Safari group today taking some promotional shots for a new hotel opening up in our local region.

Day 150
My kids playing in the toybox – hard to see them among the toys :D
can you see the baby?

Day 151

Junk on my desk – mostly camera/photo related. External drives, extension tubes, flahs disk readers and a Day of the year calendar….
Gear

Day 152
Book club night tonight – made brownies for the first ever time – very nice! Don’t think I’ve ever actually eaten one before either come to think of it… The book of the month was The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Great read.

First time using crayons. It looks like she’s trying to figure out how they work :D Used a Gaussian Blur filter pass on this photo. Man her hair is red!!!

last catch-up post…I hope 145-148

Hopefully the last bulk catch up….I HOPE!!

I must admit, my motivation for the 365 project has waned a little lately due to other projects and ‘goings-on’. I’m looking forward to the day I can take my time with my photos so I can ensure they’re all of the best quality I can manage – the 365 project can certainly be rushed and lacking when it comes to composition, subject and quality. I fully intend to see it through though! :)

DAY 145 – dark bathroom (aka world’s most boring photo!!!)

panorama! {139/365}

sunset panorama

My first attempt at a panorama deserved it’s own post instead of being bulked with a catch-up post. MOST definitely worth checking out the big on black version!

I used the pandora script for GIMP that helps with the panorama creation process….a great little tool!!

I neglected to make sure there was no ghosting before uploading. I should have rectified it, but am a touch too far behind to go back right now and fix it.

still catching up…sigh…134-138

Sorry! Still behind the ball game…attempting to get back on track…still…

All images processed in Ufraw and GIMP.

DAY 134 – journals

I’ve been trying to catch up with some journal entries for my two girls….one year to go…

Very simple shot of a mop. Bonus part of all this, I wasn’t the one mopping! YAY!
